David Beckham was born in the United Kingdom in 1975. When Beckham turned 17, he was soon signed to play professional soccer with one of Britain’s most popular teams, Manchester United. After 11 years with the team, he continued his athletic career playing internationally for Real Madrid and the La Galaxy. In the late 1990s, Beckham met Victoria Adams, model and singer for the British pop group the Spice Girls.
