The fragrance was inspired by a moment in northern Thailand, when perfumer Pissara Umavijani (the founder and nose of Dusita) visited the hill-top temple Doi Suthep near the city of Chiang Mai at midnight. From that vantage point she observed the city of Chiang Mai bathed in moonlight, luminescent paper lanterns floating in the sky, and the gilded chedi (pagoda) and royal umbrellas shimmering in the night.

Olfactive Story

The scent opens with an energetic and exotic citrus freshness (Japanese yuzu) paired with night-blooming jasmine — representing the luminous quality of moonlight and the floral scent of the night air.

At its heart, warm spice (Indian nutmeg) and the vanilla-nuanced sweetness of Siam benzoin create a dense, rich core — evoking the warmth and depth of the Thai night.

In the base, resinous myrrh and woods (Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver, Thai teak wood) wrap the composition in a long-lasting embrace, mirroring the serene, contemplative setting of the hills overlooking the city.
